i'm Finally online! i had to have the hotel operator dial an 800 number in the states so i could find out what the local access number was for my IP. 1st time i was disconnected, 2nd time, it took awhile and then it turned out the number i was given was old (the systems operations guys here at the Coral Beach helped me get online) at $5.50 a minute, i am Not pleased.
big dark cloud above us right now, but it has been a lovely day today. we had a el norte last evening, so i had to wear my sweater.
we had a extra long wait on the ATA flight from MidWay. the plane was damaged. more later.

There might be more el nortes coming your way soon. It's ungodly cold up here and the jet stream is pointing south
!
Relax, unwind, unpack and get settled in. Don't worry about those you left behind in the frozen north...we'll be fine...(sniff, sniff)...

Now find yourself some reasonable access and start sending us evidence...er, pictures!
what you really need to do, TIM, is to go up to the rooftop IN YOUR SHORTS and DEGO TEE, rip that tee off and scream..."I'M ON TOP OF THE WORLD!!!!!"
hehehe
from the guys at the FACB??? I never paid a penny to dial up at the Royal Resorts when I use my AT&T dialer which has server numbers in Cancun... They didn't even charge me a connection fee at the hotel. However, when I once dialed in via AOL, the closest number was Mexico City so I did pay for that.
Who do you use as an internet service provider? Maybe you should get AT&T or someone who has more numbers worldwide???
Anyway, glad you made it safe and sound!!! Keep us posted on what you've been up to--at least those parts you can tell all of us!!!
Have a great trip,
