Usual recommendation from these folks is take the tablets, I think once before each meal. However, we've never taken them, although I've brought them along, and we've never suffered. Upshot is, I think the tabs work as well as the liquid in the long run.

Hi I hope this does not post twice. I have used the tablets the ones that you swallow not chew,liquid would be too bulky and you would have to bring too much. My docter said that some hospitals still use it to coat stomaches for ulcers still. We also used the acidophellus tablets too, the ones that don't have to be refridgerated were the best for travelling. I was sick twice before but after using the tablets last time no one was sick at all. I do bring antibiotics as I did have a parasite once and I did not want to try and get medicine down there as I have too many allergies and felt safer getting it from my docter. I have never had to take meds ever since I used the tablets I did a lot of research on this and this is the one that was one of the most tried and true. Hoped I helped

trying to prevent? the food there in CANCUN is NOT that of the type from days gone by where you have to worry about "coating" your stomach and NOT eating the lettuce or drinking the water or anything like that. you'll be perfectly fine UNLESS you plan on venturing outside of the city--for dinner. in THAT case, i would say the PEPTOTABS are the way to go. they work just as well as the other. they just taste a tab bit different and they tend to get all over your teeth.

Hi mine are gone and I cannot remember what the brand was I bought mine from shoppers drug mart and it was in a brown glass bottle, just make sure you go with a high active cell count, the pharmacist or health food store people should be able to help you,just tell them what its for.If I see the brand I'll post it.

Pepto tabs are infinitely more convenient than the liquid. We've always got a few in our sundries, but haven't needed them for several trips.

Just make sure that you purchase them in a Health Food Store. Get the strongest you can find. Start taking them the week before you leave, while you are there and a week after getting back. Vince
