I have been doing numerous searches on the web for all inclusive resorts, 5 star, in the Riviera Maya or somewhere not so public like Cancun to stay, hopefully a villa or something you can walk out of your patio right onto the beach.
Does anyone have any information on where this might be?
Many of the newer all-inclusive Mega Resorts were built for capacity - not necessarily for ocean views and patio-to-beach access. You'd definitely have to stick with a smaller (and possibly older) property or give up on the all-inclusive thing altogether (rent a private villa or condo, where you're guaranteed a particular unit / location).
Hotel Maroma is about the only place I can think of that's upscale and on the beach, but I think they only include Breakfasts ( http://www.maroma-mexico.com ). Maybe Laura MapChick can think of more?

Thank you for your quick response. I had originally had my heart set on Moon Palace until I started reading posts here about the terrible beach. Guess I'll just have to keep searching. I think we're looking for a little seclusion, but not have the nightlife too far away.

Our room in building 47 was on the beach. Great resort. We can't wait to go back.
