Just wanted to let fellow travelers know to beware of APPLE VACATIONS. We had a very negative experience with them this past winter. We had a 3 nite vacation booked thru APPLE and planned to meet up with some friends. The flight was delayed by 8 hours and we were given almost no information until they decided to cancel the flight because of a curfew into CANCUN. There were many other flights that day leaving our airport with empty seats bound for Cancun but APPLE refused to put any of it's passengers on other flights because of cost. After being in the airport for over 8 hours we were given an option of being bused another 4 hours to Baltimore in order to take an early AM flight the next day or being sent to Punta Cana DR where our friends were NOT. This would mean that we would have to get additional babysitting for another day and time off from work and then first take 2 extra 4 hour trips back and forth to Baltimore. Not realistic for people traveling within a restricted time frame! This could all have been prevented had APPLE been up front from the beginning regarding the trip delay. They knew about it from the early morning but took no steps to get their customers to the destination which is what a tour company should do first and foremost. We had to ask for a refund and cancel our trip. We asked APPLE to contact our friends who were waiting for us but they NEVER did. Then to top it all off, when we finally did get a refund about 2 months later, they shorted our refund by about $250.00. We lost a great vacation with friends, time from work, traveling expenses to and from the airport and money! A horrible experience with a TERRIBLE COMPANY!
