Just returned from a fabulous trip in Aug/Sept.2001. Weather was hot and very humid but great. The hotel is a "10." Service, food, restaurants, rooms, entertain, all excellent. Highly recommend the Aventura, definately a "couple" place. More seclusion than Cancun. Hotel had parties/shows every night. Lots of tours to choose from. Take the Isle Muerjes trip offered through Apple Vacation - was a riot! Also, see at leasat one of the ruins.Lots of fun and surprises. A visit to Xpu-Ha is more than worth it. The lagoon is better than Aventura's. Only one complaint - our room was far from the main lobby but still very nice and quiet. Probably could have changed it if we asked to. Hotel personnel was excellent. Would go back again in a minute!
