Hello Everyone,
I've noticed that there hasn't been much written on the Barcelo Maya Beach/Garden Resort lately. I have no idea why not! We just came back last week and it's a GREAT resort. We thought we died and went to heaven. It's huge.
The pools are very big. One is bigger than the other, but it's still a nice size. The beach is very nice, lots of lawn chairs all over. There is a lot of coral, so aqua shoes are nice to have. There is one area of the beach that you don't need them. We went horseback riding on the beach (that was unbelievable). Mario, our guide, was very funny and helpful. You can go kayaking, snorkling, take dance lessons, spanish lessons, etc etc etc You will not be bored... :)
All the staff on the resort is very nice, friendly and eager to help. If you go down there, I suggest you go see Wilberth at the pool bar and ask for his special. It's a very good drink. The rooms are very big and clean.
What else can I say...It's just paradise on earth.
