We arrived in Cancun with 4 other flights. It took TWO hours just to get through immigration! What a drag, I never experienced anthing like that! (I have been to this area multiple times).

Our transportation was awaiting us. Even though this was supposed to be
all inclusive, they had a sign up, for "tips". We felt uncomfortable with that, so we gave him a couple bucks.

The room was beautiful with a hammock on the balcony. We had room #3009 which overlooked the ocean, lagoon and pool. The room and view itself was worth the price. It was really nice to have the jacuzzi in our room. We really needed it after a long day of touring.

Everything was well maintained and the staff was always cleaning and
straightening up. They are very hard workers. They were out till 3:00 a.m. cleaning all the beach chairs!

Yes, the lagoon was a little disappointment, but not enough to ruin anything for us. The waitress served drinks on the beach all day. We had kayaks and paddle boats available for our use.

The pool area was always alive with some type of activity going on. The
"activity staff" did a great job (with out pestering us) of getting people involved.

The food was so-so, except for La Hacienda. We ate there 4 out of the 7
nights. It was wonderful there. (Dress code for men). Mundaca was the
only restaurant out of 3 that required reservations (no dress code). They specialized in different cuisine each day of the week. We decided to try French night. We were served sweetbread (brains)! I'm sure this
is a delicacy for some folks, but not for us. That was easy to deal
with. When we left that restaurant, we just walked over to the other
restaurant and got something else.

Nightly entertainment was pretty good. I've seen some bad shows in my
time, but these guys did a good job. Each night was pretty much a theme. One evening in particular was wonderful - they had ballet. All their dancers were professionals, for all their shows.

Two tours were included through the hotel for Apple guests. Xpu-ha and
Coba. It seemed the tours available (at no cost) depended upon your
tour group. Others were offered Cozumel, Tulum, Xel-Ha and more. The
tour guides also asked for tips.

Leaving, we boarded the plane (Allegro-the one we had all the problems
with last year). Once on board, we had to de-plane, due to a leak in
the hydralic system. Needless to say, my husband was bouncing off the
walls. About 1 1/2 hour later we got to board again. Everyone was a
nervous reck. I'm going to be sure to send a letter to Apple/Allegro,
since this was our second incident.

Overall it was a pleasant vacation and I would recommend the resort to others.
