Another good model is usually the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Lab (Pink/Magenta LIne)and they seem to be showing it going more toward Houston/Galveston in a Rita like past.That would be better for New Orleans, but worse for the entire state because it would damage the Houston to Lake Charles area. That would really spread thin the people who are here to help put things back together after Gustav.
By the way, I think that the National Hurricane Center uses the BAMD model. I don't know if it is their model, or if they prefer it. BAMD is the Beta and Advection model, deep model. I think that NOAA uses HWRF (Dark green line)
