Scuba Cancun is a medium size, family run PADI FIVE STAR dive center and marina. It is owned and run by Captain Luis Hurtado who has more than 55 years of diving experience in commercial, military and sport scuba diving.

He is the first scuba instructor to work in Cancun, and founded Scuba Cancun in 1980. Since then he has taken many people on safe and exciting dives.

You can only use bio-degradable sunscreen on the reef.

Designed for people who are not certified (whether they have ever been diving or not). Dive safely under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor and in small groups. Daily 12:00PM - 4:00PM approx. Includes: theory, pool practice with one tank and a one tank dive the same day at a nice reef (27 ft. deep maximum), equipment during the course, certified PADI instructor, boat, lemonade.	PADI open water diver course is the # 1 certification course in the world and your certification card is valid for the rest of you life. SCUBA CANCUN has instructors that can give you the PADI open water diver course in 2 1/2 or 3 days. Includes: theory, pool practice, equipment during the course, four ocean dives, written exams (very simple, multiple choice), log book, PADI Open Water Diver manual.	If you want to do the classroom and practice dives at home and your certification dives here in in Cancun, this is for you. You need four dives with one of our instructors, you dive two tanks, one afternoon and two more the next morning, in different areas in between Cancun and Isla Mujeres.
