Shared Airport Transportation

You can save some money by booking shared airport transfers if you don't mind the wait. It usually takes several minutes for the shared shuttle vans to get loaded, then the vans will stop at other hotels, dropping people off along the way.

Should you book shared or private transportation?

Whether to choose private or shared airport transfers is really a matter of preference. The advantages of private transfers is that there is less waiting time, no other hotel stops, no waiting on other people and not being squeezed into a van with 8 strangers. Also on departure you have the flexibility to decide your own pick up time.


The benefites of Shared transfers is cost. If you do not mind a bit of a wait and riding with other people, then shared transfers may be right for you.


Most of the BestDay shuttles are late-model, air conditioned vans that hold up to 9 passengers and luggage. They will track your flight and they will be waiting outside the terminal (go out the sliding glass doors). If you choose to book round trip, then your departure pickup date and time will be confirmed when you board the van upon arrival.


If staying on Cozumel: Book the option for Cancun Airport - Playa del Carmen Dock Transfer - Cozumel Ferry - Hotel Transfer. This is the best option if you arrive to Cancun Airport, but your hotel is on Cozumel. This transfer departs from Cancun Airport to Playa del Carmen dock where a BestDay representative will help you board the ferry to Cozumel. Once on Cozumel, another BestDay rep will greet you and provide your transportaiton to the hotel.
